This was pre pandemic but my flight was delayed into LHR and I was going to miss my connection to Chicago.. There was an agent on the jet bridge holding a placard with my name on it. He said I was already rebooked on the next day's flight and had a room at the Sofitel LHR reserved. Plus a dinner voucher. Not sure if this happens to all Emeralds but as a Gold, I was impressed.
