Recently completed a stay there, it's grim. Nice rooms but fixtures and fittings are cheap, AC isn't strong enough to keep the room cool so regularly exceeded 26-28c in day time when set to 18c, most of the light switches are cheap and need a few strong presses to actually work. Shower pressure is very weak too. The breakfast is franky shocking considering the upscale setting of the hotel and the room cost, it's so bad I stopped going on the 2nd night. The staff generally seemed to be struggling in all departments, some were borderline rude especially at the bar area where elites get some free drinks in the evening.

TLDR? I would not go back, ever. Penang Marriott is unbeatable as things stand but there is a Westin opening in around 2 years.
