Had 2 night stay earlier this week. This will be my 15th brand, plus the 2000 points milestone bonus, plus 3x points rate, plus new hotel 500 points bonus.
As other had pointed out, this hotel is in the quieter part of downtown Nashville, yet walkable to other attractions.
You can see the gym on the second floor from the street.
Valet parking is $60/night. I ended up using SpotHero and got a spot for $25 per 24 hours across the street with in/out privilege.
Check-in was fairly straight forward. The FD person explained Globalist benefits, namely $35/pp for breakfast credit, and coupons for daily water bottles. I was upgraded to a higher floor room. There was no welcome gift or card.
The room design reminded me of Tommy Hollywood, without the obnoxious rooftop dance club. The room is meant to be functional, and it worked. Not in the picture - a lighted full-length mirror outside of the bathroom.
Breakfast is served at Between Cafe, which turns into bar in the afternoon (although there is a bartender in the morning to serve drinks). Prices are more than reasonable. There is no complimentary coffee, although there is an in-room coffee maker.
Southwest Sunrise breakfast sandwich:
Avocado toast:
The lunch/dinner menu - drinks were reasonably priced:
Chicken BALT sandwich:
Happy Hour is from 2-6pm
There is a take and go market right next to the Cafe.
Overall, this brand works for me. I was able to work in the room with the small round table. The TV is set up for ChromeCast. There's plenty of room without being cramped like a NYC hotel. This is definitely a solid option for a Hyatt in Nashville.
