Has anybody had any recent experience with interlining bags at MNL to HKG? Will be arriving on QR and was looking at purchasing separate tickets to HKG on CX with approx 3.5h transfer. Recall reading that QR won't interline with CX at MNL to DOH but unclear if the rule applies the other way around.

Both arrival and departure would be in T3. Bag allowance consistent between tickets. Is this even worth it or should I just deal with rechecking bags and dealing with immigration again? Thoughts?
