Blech.
Just returned from a recent paid stay here; had company business a few blocks away, so thought I would give it a go.
No status recognition as Diamond. Tried to check in at 3:15pm (yes, a whopping 45 minutes before official check in). The day before, I checked the Hilton website to see if there were rooms available, and there are many options to choose from. I figured that was a decent sign that it wasn't sold out. At the front desk, I was told that they were sold out the previous night and the check in time was 4pm. As I was walking away, I was called back and offered a $50 upgrade to a "Times Square View room" where I could check in immediately.
The condition of the rooms at this hotel at atrocious. Mold growing in the very poorly ventilated bathroom, surprise stains on the desk chair, and pillows that felt like they belonged in a roadside motel. Don't get me started on the odor that came from the clearly-had-never-been-washed comforter.
This hotel has clearly not invested in their rooms for years.
