I do need to go to Altoona (Hollidaysburg, to be precise) and I saw it as an opportunity to experience another small offbeat airport. But Contour Airlines does not have a good reputation anywhere. People have posted only negative experiences with this airline. We will see.

As for PIT or Harrisburg just being 2 or so hours away, that's good to know. One of the purposes of this trip is to do a road trip along US-22, like I did with US-44 in New England last October. So I am happy to read that it is a pretty drive. US-44 is a really beautiful road and was a great trip (report to follow in the Trip Reports forum).
