In your Facebook post, you said this was a stay at an AI property. I realize these may not address the generic issue you raise, but are you sure the incremental Glob benes your companions would receive are worth the hassle you're going through or even burning a GoH award? Have you contacted the property to see if they will extend Glob benes to the 2 additional rooms you've booked? I've had good luck with that at properties in North America, but less so in Asia.
