So you wouldn't mind if when you went to book and there were no Comfort Plus seats because one or two families of 8 had taken all the seats and you (as a Platinum, Diamond or 360) get NO upgrade?? The benefits that affect other members should be limited. I don't mind if a party of 8 all get free bags. That doesn't affect other members. As said above, split the record and take advantage of two seats or sit with your family in preferred seating (Delta does allow up to 8 people on the same PNR to get 8 seats in preferred seating (a much larger area).
