ARN morning flight (dep 08.10) cancelled. Rerouted to earlier flight (dep 07.25), message of that came at 06.05 (1h20min before dep of new flight, 2h5min before dep of original flight). If we read EU261 as it is written, no compensation due, as rerouted flight leaves less than 1hr earlier. But is this 1h20min notice reasonable in case of early morning and the passenger can't make it to the new flight as one is still sleeping at the time one should already be on the way to the airport to be able to catch the new flight? No, I don't see it reasonable, but does it change anything regarding EU261 compensation. Any views on this?
