A better example would be changing the ticket at the HEL stop and adding several flights in Europe and N. America. No change in the base fare, so now 12 segments instead of 3. My understanding is that the majority of the fare is for the flights between the zones TC1 TC2 and TC3. The intra-TC zones earn little of the fare.
