DL670 JFK-SFO
Dinner
The domestic D1 menus ex-JFK seem to have gone from Do&Co back to the old Danny Meyer/Union Square items this month (even though the menus already rotated in March):
Starters
Mexican Shrimp Cocktail spicy tomato sauce, lemon crema, pickled cilantro
Mixed Greens cucumber, cherry tomatoes, balsamic vinaigrette
Roasted Tomato Focaccia (not) Banner Butter
Main Course
Pastrami Short Rib BBQ jus, jalapeno-cheddar cornbread pudding, broccoli
Braised Chicken Thigh mushroom cacciatore, creamy polenta, roasted carrots
Basil and Ricotta Cannelloni spicy vodka sauce, wilted spinach, pecorino
Chicken Meatballs (Limited) puttanesca sauce, creamy polenta, broccoli rabe
Vegan Mushroom Shepherd's Pie (Limited) mushroom-lentil ragout, garlic mashed potatoes
Dessert
Pineapple Upside Down Cake caramel sauce, cherry compote
Shrimp starter was meh (felt like a lower quality shrimp cocktail), bread was interesting, salad was ok (hot take here but I do like the more creative Do&Co salads). Echoing the comments above the pastrami short rib was very good, and jalapeño cornbread was tasty and had a fair amount of flavor. Unfortunately there must have been a tariff on broccoli - only got one stalk of it lol.
Pineapple upside down cake was a little dried out and meh - still waiting for them to bring back the sundaes sigh.
Great SFO-based crew on this flight, and while these 76Ls are getting really old (this one doesn’t have the new seat cushions) can’t really complain since I cleared an RUC on a cheap Main Cabin fare at booking
