I have a couple of Contour Airlines flights coming up in June. Reading the reviews linked in post #2 does not inspire confidence. Does anyone have any recent experiences to share?

My flights will be to Altoona (AOO), from Charlotte (CLT). The flight back to CLT will leave AOO at 06.25am and there will be 8 hours to kill in CLT airport before my next flight segment. Assuming all goes well, maybe I could pay a quick visit to downtown Charlotte.

Perhaps Contour Airlines deserves its own thread, without the issue of connecting to interlining flights with AA?
