I have a DP from a couple years ago….
I created a Family Account and purchased three tickets in business. At the time of the booking I was able to upgrade one seat to first. I did all of this with the Family Account points. About five days out of from the trip another first upgrade opened up. Again, used the Family Account with no issues.
The issue came at the airport. When I checked in I was told there was an upgrade available. I asked them to upgrade with points. They said I had no points. I did, they were just in my Family Account. I even showed them on my iPad. She seemed like she did not even know what that was? Since they were not in my individual account there was nothing they could do. I tried one last time, on the plane, and was again told they had availability but they could do nothing with my Family points.
