Power and USB weren't working in Premium Plus (R) on IAH > LHR (Died at #1 on the list ) and didn't work for the whole cabin. Crew really tried to get it going but no luck. They kept us in the loop though, which was appreciated.

One of the FAs came over (since we flagged it) and confirmed it wasn’t fixable. She said they could offer some comp - miles or ETC - and when I asked how much, she said it depends on what the system spits out, then asked if I had status. Told her I’m 1K.

About 15 mins later she came back with $250 ETC for me and $200 for my girlfriend (Silver). Super nice about it, and noticeably more apologetic once they saw the 1K.

Once we got the ETCs, GF pulled out her power bank, which was just enough to keep both phones alive for the Uber on the other end. Would’ve been SOL if I needed to work, though—no way a power bank’s running a laptop for long. Ended up using IFE for the first time in ages as usually watch what I've got downloaded on the phone.

Appreciated the crew taking it seriously. Not ideal, but very satisfied with the outcome!
