Within Marriott, a higher-level hotel would be the Prince de Galles, but it is near the Champs Elysees which some might like, but some might not.
The highlights of the Westin were its view, historic building and location which are basically the same as the Le Meurice next door, but with much higher rates.

I only recently found out that it was a Swiss company that was managing (on the operation side) the hotel with the Marriott standard, with a GM, also from Switzerland, that belongs to that company.
On Sunday, at noon, the door with close and the hotel (that now fully belongs to Dubai Holdings) will almost certainly re-open under the Jumeirah flagship.
