I am starting to believe that these plans have been put on hold given the new situation in the US government. Given the rather peculiar passenger mix on TK flights to the US, I imagine TK must be feeling some impact of new visa restrictions and a hesitation regarding travel to the US among certain groups.

Of course, TK has previously shown that it is willing to announce new longhaul flights and start operating them a mere two months later, so for all we know, they could announce IST MSP in May and start operations in August. Personally, I see greater odds in Auckland, Rio de Janeiro or Lima being announced for a launch towards the end of the year.
