I've only been through preclearance airports a few times and never really gave it much thought. However, having just come home from a non-preclearance location, it got me thinking.
I believe we can't bring disallowed food from the plane into the US (fruits, etc.) as those will cause a problem at customs.
However, with preclearance, there's no further customs inspection when arriving in the US. How is this handled?
I'm sure there's a simple answer to this that I just can't think of at the moment...
