Yep, hence why I included the "and several drinks". Taking a quick look at a restaurant in LAX TBIT (Santa Monica Brew Works), a burger and a beer starts at $31 plus tax and tip, swapping the beer for wine makes it $35 and doing a cocktail instead is closer to $40. $35 for a decent 3 course meal plus highish-end open bar isn't exactly a ripoff.
