So, the award miles are only based on actual miles flown (6,323 distance LAX-PTY-EZE) , and nothing to do with the cost correct?

Does it matter if I am Premier Gold? In the area where they cover specifically COPA earnings, award miles is 8 miles per dollar spent for Gold

If so, if the award miles change based on status, so then I wonder, does that also affect PQP, i.e., above calculation it wouldnt be based on miles but dollars?
