Back in mid January I booked FAO-LIS-FNC in business. It was a mid morning departure from FAO, arriving at FNC at 15:15 with 85-minute connection in LIS.
i remember the fare being higher because of the peak midday departure.
So I received two emails for online checkin under the same confirmation number for each flight. I didn’t notice that the schedule for TP1689 moved from 13:30 to 11:30 departure, invalidating the original schedule. Not one notification.
When I checked in my large suitcase, they printed me a boarding pass. The first flight was delayed but I’m getting text that the flight is ready to board. The notification was for TP1689, not TP1902, which I was still waiting to board.
I looked at the boarding pass and it showed TP1691, departing at 16:35. So that is exactly a 4:30 AFTER the scheduled arrival of TP1902. That flight actually touched down around 12:20 but it was a long time to deplane and the bus drove a few kilometers to the terminal.
So would I have any recourse? They changed the schedule and never sent warning of the change. I will arrive 3-3.5 hours later in Madeira than originally scheduled. That’s assuming TP1691 arrives as scheduled at 18:25.
oK just checked, it’s already been delayed, showing 16:45 departure, 18:33 arrival. Maybe arriving before 19:00 is unlikely the way things are going.
