My account gets paid every month by auto pay. Last month I made a larger than normal purchase that put my balance near the credit limit so I manually paid the up coming statement amount early. On auto pay day the same amount was deducted from my bank as if I hadn't already paid it. Their explanation was since I had new charges equal to the payment that it gets charged twice. I would have to turn off auto pay to stop it. I have done this on other cards and I didn't get charged twice. Just another quirk with Citi.
