For the 2 bonus nights per $5k spend, here's a lesson in what not to do:

I had a charge unexpectedly post early on December 30, 2024 for $2k. This bumped me up to the next $5k level which gave me 2 additional nights in 2024. I had no use for any additional nights in 2024 so these were totally wasted. Then I had to cancel the $2k charge which posted in early January 2025. This effectively put me $2k in the hole to start 2025. I'm not sure one could screw this up much worse than that, but so it goes sometimes... SMH
