Hi everyone,

I was wondering if it's possible to switch a booking from a free night award to points. I initially booked a hotel using a free night certificate, but now I'd like to change it to a points booking so I can apply a suite upgrade.

However, there’s currently no points availability for that night. I spoke with an agent who said the change isn’t possible unless the night becomes available again for points.

I’m a Globalist and would really appreciate being able to use a suite upgrade for this stay. Has anyone had success with this kind of change before—either by calling the Globalist line or waiting for points availability to open up?
