By the way, I've stayed at the Hilton Doha on a Visit Qatar rate (an
extremely discounted rate with unique 24 hour stay, we got 24 hours from check-in to check-out) and was told I wouldn't earn points or nights credit (as expected) but would have lounge access. So even on rates that don't earn points, at least some hotels extend some Diamond benefits.

We've eaten at their a la carte grill restaurant Grillology a few times and have enjoyed it each time. We never tried the buffet restaurant. When we stay at the Conrad Tokyo we take the automated train to
Odaiba to eat at Grillology. There is a stop very close to the Hilton Odaiba. Restaurant charges show as Hilton Odaiba so we get extra points.
