Why does it have to be that? In fact how
could it be that? One of the key synergies of the merger is more efficient routing of the fleet by allowing planes to rotate from Hawaii through the mainland to another mainland city. Unless they repaint the plane each time it flies HNL-SEA-ANC, there will be brand mixing.
Hard for me to imagine, for example, that 787s won’t do more SEA-Europe duty in the summer and more Hawaii duty in the winter, at least once Europe service is ramped up a bit.
