Do not stay at the Hongta. Under any circumstances - the price is actually as it is too high for the quality we got on what should have been a 3 night stay, that turned into a one night stay and moving to the JW Tomorrow Square (waaaay better hotel in all respects even at +400rmb a night). We were "upgraded" to a suite on arrival; living room was missing the couch chair and lamps (only had the lounger from the bedroom as a "couch, no other furnature in the bedroom). Huge number of stains all over living room and bedroom carpet, dents in the wall, broken tiles in the shower (and broken shower holder and bathtub handle, very safe). Breakfast was one of the worst I have had in any hotel in china including fairfields in T3 cities, plates and utensils visably dirty. When I went to go speak to a manager, found out he did not even work at that hotel and was on loan from another nearby Marriott, he admitted the pictures on the website were no longer accurate at all of the condition and furnishings in the rooms; and that while he could switch us to another room he specifically stated he couldnt guarente the next room would be any better. I asked him to cancel and refund our next 2 nights and we picked up and left to the JW.

No compensation or anything offered, submitted a note to Marriott corp once we moved hotels, only "promised" to have hotel management reach out to me with a response.
