I have two PY seats from JFK - HND at the end of March next year but I'm waitlisted on the return flight in early April. Assuming I don't get off the waitlist in the next two months, does anyone know if I can convert my outbound seats to a one-way award booking (albeit at the new higher point amount) and then I would just buy one way tickets home for cash? I'm taking my daughter to Japan during her spring break and I don't have flexibility with the travel dates, so I want to lock in my flights as soon as possible. I was planning to call and ask but figured I'd see if anyone else has already spoken to ANA about this question. Thanks!
