Ba178 JFK-LHR:

Now this is a tricky flight to cater for, leaving JFK in the early morning and arriving into LHR in the late evening. But it does feel rather like they skimped on the menu, with it only being a breakfast plus light meal whereas the overnight flights get two full meals.

I was fine as I'd just come off an overnight transcon, having also had something to eat in the Chelsea lounge and Qantas Flounge at LAX. If this was the only food I was having all day I might be left a little hungry.

Inexplicably I didn't take any other photos of the food, but what I did have was very middle of the road. The croissant wasn't fresh at all and the toast wasn't even warm. The full breakfast main course was OK but didn't exactly strike me as F quality. I asked and they didn't have raisins or a bit of fruit to go with the cereal (I didn't want a full fruit plate).

For the light meal I went for the potato gnocchi (OK) and dessert (very nice). Together with the broken WiFi and the old F seat which was (literally) falling apart in places, it was only saved from being a poor experience by the excellent crew and the comfortable bed.
