Going to be on (supposedly) 780 on Thursday, and I'm pretty (extremely) iffy on whether my posh new carry on I've been given (Sterling Pacific 35L, which already seems iffy on non-CR9 due to being 22.5" x 14" x 8.5"... aka more than 21") will fit in the overheads; I am assuming "no". I'm happy to shove it under the seat, of course, but I am currently sat in a bulkhead row, pending attempting an eUp at check-in (due to being UA codeshare).

(Aside rant: This was originally a DH4, when I booked it via UA, and when it swapped to CR9 later, meaning I can't even apply eUps, or even know what fare I have on the AC side. I also only booked it via UA because AC refuses to sell J here unless segments have J cabins. Anyway, I really hate AC's CR9s.)

Assuming I should per-emptively move back one row so I'm not on a bulkhead, or bite the bullet and check it (which is a big pain in the butt for me, because I have an onward connection on a separate ticket in IAD.).
