Was one time but perfect timing years ago, needing to do a bunch of gift baskets and one of those stores was 12x.
Home Depot and Lowes are being a little more gracious these days from their usual .5x but sometimes it specific product categories.
Even Walmart had 3x a while back.

Now for my thing, has anyone tried the MVP***** for a trip perk redemptions?
It says you will receive the status for 14 days. So I assume it's day specific not "a trip"?. If I had multiple trip legs in that timing window they would all qualify? Or do you select a "Trip" in your account?
Also, it's very confusing too, it appears status starts immediately after selecting the perk?
So if one's next trip wasn't until July and wanted to enjoy the MVP status on that trip, you should wait til shortly before and redeem it then if it hasn't expired?

So here's my thing. Have EWR-SFO in July, the wife demands the premium seating, I don't think she actually enjoys it as much as Terminal B always puts her in the mindset to enjoy any little offering as opposed to outbound leaving SFO and a little shorter flight.
As stated, I'll be making MVP thanks to Cartera including shortly the MVP Gold perk for a trip option at 30K miles milestone.
For this specific trip in July and until then the only advantage with Gold I need is the immediate upgrade.
So, if I redeem the MVP Gold perk now, do I get status for 14 days starting now and I can buy the tickets in this window and can get the free immediate premium upgrade(If available) as opposed to shelling out $100+ per seat for it?.
I'll lose the Gold in 14 days and probably won't officially earn it until after said trip. If again, all this "for a trip" 2 weeks status starts immediately.
So, do you need the status when you buy or fly and when does the perk give it to you?

I would add if you are planning a vacation Viator is offering 10 miles per $ and you can easily spend 1000 plus booking a couple private tours or car services.

Keep an eye on Mattress Firm as a new mattress can easily be $5000 now and even at 3 per $ works quite nicely.

skin and hair care can get really expensive especially if both you and your spouse use fancy serums and creams. Dermstore and Bluemercury are both typically 4 per $ and spending 500 is quite easy there. Sephora also tends to get 10 per offers regularly.

A lot of the big number offers are on items with fixed prices based on annual memberships and that sort of thing. Stacking these purchases with CCs that are also earning points is an amazing new perk.
