It seems award tickets for 2x one-way compared to a return is the same price, whereas when using cash a return ticket is cheaper. Is that generally correct? I cannot find a one-way award for LGW/LHR-KIX on MU via PVG (on KL it is very expensive), so would the only option to for award avaiability to FB redemptions being 4x one-way tickets:
  • LGW/LHR-PVG (would then have to allow for a long stopover to factor in for possible missed connection as on separate tickets)
  • PVG-KIX
  • KIX-PVG (enter Shanghai on TWOV as will onward ticket to London)
  • PVG-LGW/LHR
Just general looking at the FB award availability on the KLM website for LGW-PVG is very slim pickings. I assumed there would be availability everyday. And even when searching generally on the KLM website for cash tickets it does not give any options with SkyTeam partners - it that usual?
