Just a fun data point.

Spent the Easter long weekend with Mrs in Edmonton. Got ops up for the first time as an absolutely nobody on our YEG-YYZ flight. They likely oversold Economy class and needed our seats, the standby list is shown as full for economy and only 5/12 seats were sold in business. I'm pleasantly surprised by it since I'm absolutely nobody (Mrs doesn't have any status at all) flying on Econ Standard fare. I guess there must be very few status passengers onboard.
