Virgin's FlyReady portal seems to have flagged a concern with the one-way ticket:
Your destination requires a return ticket. Please see a Virgin Atlantic agent upon airport arrival. Be sure to complete any remaining FlyReady steps for faster check-in and arrive at the airport at least 3 hours prior to departure.
Please could anyone advise me if I should do anything, such as contact them with my travel plans? Could this be an issue travelling through immigration even if I bring my tickets with me both on a digital and printed format?
I don't know specifically about the US but have had this with other countries, usually they will just need to check that you have a return / onward ticket when you check in at the airport and then they will update the system / booking with those details so it's then confirmed on their side that you do have a return / onward journey booked. I don't think they can do anything in advance as they will ask for the details in person at the airport so they can verify,
