One of my life hacks is figuring out crew hotels because the usually mean great upgrades for elites.

The Westin in Vegas is great for this, and is close to Ellis Island which has great BBQ & beer.

Off-price hotels I like in central Vegas include:
•Hyatt Place (across from Virgin Hotel and near the Hoffbrau Haus)
•Townplace Suites off of Tropicana (nice pool, and close to In-N-Out + the south strip casinos. Better breakfast than the Hampton across the street )
•Fairfield Inn on Paradise (cheaper than the Westin and free mediocre breakfast.)

I didn't check the rest but the Westin has a $35 Resort Fee ( called destination fee) plus $20 a day parking

In our case ( we are far from high rollers) staying at Paris in a new Versailles strip view room and paying the RF on Saturday 10/4 would be about the same price as Westin but Paris is much less than Westin Sunday 10/5 - Friday 10/10

I picked the week of Saturday October 4 - 10 as a price comparison as we already have reservations at Paris that week

We paid a bit under $1210 ( with tax but no resort fee) for 6 nights in the Bordeaux Lemans King Suite at Paris which I booked in December 2024.

Westin for the week would be $2,222.26............so $1000 more (~ $675 if one had to pay resort fees at Paris ) for a base room at the Westin vs the suite at Paris.

My guess is Westin jacked prices and added fees like every other hotel seems to be doing these days,
