1) being aggressive is not the same as being fraudulent
2) it is hard to attribute any uptick of damage detection to the more aggressive ai
- ai works in a blackbox, so how are you going to determine if the ai is unreasonably aggressive or not
- they could also blame it on the other things, such as overly dirty cars which messes with the accuracy of the AI
- it is possible the uptick is due to low manual detection rate previously, and the higher detection rate with AI is actually the more correct one
look at united healthcare. it seems they have a significantly higher denial rate than their competitors, but i dont see much actions taken against them

Don't have a different defensive solution, better than nothing I guess, renting a car shouldn't have to come with such high RISK.
use a card with rental car insurance (use 1 with primary rental car insurance if you have auto insurance)
