I hit the 2 million miles mark yesterday (3/16) on a flight from SLC to ATL. On my connecting flight to TPA a nice Red Coat Gertelman came onboard and delivered a 2 million Miles award certificate, million miler red socks and a nice leather passport wallet embossed with Million Miles logo. Since I was in first class cabin, it just seemed like a private ceremony with friends. Overall, Delta has been a good friend. I can remember my first upgrade on a flight from JFK to SLC when you had to call 24 hours before the flight departure time to get on the upgrade list. I was silver and surprised to be upgraded to first. I have had a lot of good experiences flying on Delta and a few some strange ones as well. Maybe I should write a book.
