Based on fare code, is this refundable?

G0FWZRU1

This is for DSM-CLT-PGV, PGV-CLT-DSM a couple weeks ago. Already at the airport for the return, rental car turned in, at the ticket counter waiting for it to open in about 30 minutes. Get notice the PGV-CLT segment has been cancelled.

Already had another flight booked on UA day after next to California, so "try again tomorrow" not gonna work. Had a looong layover in CLT anyhoo, so got my rental car back and drove 4hr to CLT.

Along the way, called AA, and the agent fixed up my ticket to save my CLT-DSM flight and seat, got rechecked in with checked bag intact. Agent said submit for refund thru portal after i made it home. CLT-DSM flight went fine.

Next day submit refund request. Couple days later get reply along the lines of "your ticket is non-refundable, but dont worry you have a flight credit to use." Which of course took me forever to find, and then no value listed that i can find ... Why does AA make this so much harder than UA and DL?

I almost always buy refundable tickets for AA since i usually buy within 24hr of departure. So I was perplexed by "your ticket is non-refundable" but maybe i spaced and didn't buy refundable this time. My receipt seems to say refundable, tho. Googling and searching Flyertalk led me to checking the Fare Code, which i eventually found, but now how do i decipher it? Is there a chart somewhere? Google didn't help me there.

Any help would be appreciated before i call AA, either to push for refund to my CC or to find out the value of the flight credit.
