Yes, the offer definitely gets better if you have a more premium card. The Aeroplan Reserve Amex earns 1.25.

So if you had the Aeroplan Amex, and you spent $4000 a month on rent, that would be (4000 x 12 = 48K x 1.25 AE per $ = 60K Aeroplan points) in a year. Potentially enough for a one-way business class award.
Also you would earn 9000 SQM's for your $48,000 spend on rent in a year.
