Just trying to figure out the location of the gates are being referred to here : according to online maps gates 31 to 34 are on the satellite (pier 3), which are closer to the main terminal than those at the end of pier 2 and don’t require walking past lots of other gates on the way. You do walk through a weird square room with some bus gates on the way to the satellite pier 3, so maybe this is what the other poster was referring to, perhaps without realising that these were bus gates
