Was here for the second time (first time late 2023) over the weekend a few weeks back. Availability via Hyatt booking channels was very poor (Qingming holiday) & guaranteed availability rate was used (which was interestingly less than instant confirmation rooms on the chinese otas ctrip/ly). O
ne thing to be aware of on busy days if you're coming or leaving by taxi - it's a few small one way roads in and out for vehicles, resulting in a traffic trap. It can take you 20-30 minutes to get to the main roads (~250m yanan to the east, ~500m qingchun to the north) or vice-versa. Surprised to have received an upgrade to a Grand Suite this time around (just lake view back in 23). Those suites are all at the end of the hallways, with the living room area of the suite facing the driveway lobby and the swimming pool building, bedroom and bath face the lake.
Globalist breakfast was allowed at the downstairs restaurant, and I'm not sure on the inconsistency there from my two stays and RE:
Warriorconcept (assuming globalist as well) - I do note the welcome email did state breakfast at lounge, unsure if it was a lounge crowding allowance since we never went up.
To give a brief overview on restaurant breakfast that since that hasn't really been discussed. Western selection amounts to sunny side eggs (though can ask for others), ok bacon, sad sausages, beans, ham and potatoes. There's a excellent selection of pastries and fruit. Cantaloupes (or the chinese variety "hami" - which are much crisper than the western ones) seem to be in season and stood out. Other non-standard/non-western fruit selections included longan, dragonfruit, pepino melons (initially confused for passionfruit), and more I forgot (and those strawberries are still behind a counter - next to the pancakes/waffles). There's a much wider selection of average quality chinese breakfast goods, including pan fried dumplings, youtiao, congee (and toppings), soy milk, 4 pans of different stir fried vegetables (tend to be on the overcooked side), rice cakes, xiaolongbao, various steamed buns and root starch veggies. Fresh noodle bar is quite popular, but varies in quality as well - e.g. liangfen is bad, standard beef noodle soup is good. Fruit juice and milk are pre-portioned into cups in a fridge.
