Few notes from a stay last weekend:
  • Great points deal for the quality of the hotel at 9k/night.
  • Booked 2 (a 2bd queen and 1 king) rooms and called the Globalist line to ask about getting them connecting, rep said no problem. On arrival, we'd been upgraded to a king suite connecting to a standard queen.
  • I'm morally, spiritually and ethically opposed to "Resort Fees" - but at least this property gives guests a clearer overview than most about what they can expect from their fee, in the form of little cards at welcome that detail all the amenities. If you really took advantage of all of it, you could get some value back ($10 marketplace credit, free drink in the lobby for an hour every day, free smores kit for kids, etc.) - but at $28/night in the offseason, and $38/night in the summer, it's obscene.
  • Breakfast at the restaurant was good, but I might recommend booking ahead for any larger parties (we were 6). The host seemed pretty overwhelmed with the idea that we'd come down to breakfast without a reservation. Got it sorted after about 10 minutes though.
  • We've now stayed here on the weekend 3x, and there's been a wedding happening every time. Seems to be a popular destination for that.
  • Absent the location, this is my favorite Seattle property. Even including the location, if you've got a car, don't mind driving, and can work around traffic, it's still a great property. Especially given the value. Hope it stays.
