Not sure if AA tickets. You could ask AA for a price but that might mean a significant price increase if they charge a change fee and have to reissue the tickets. Or you could ask BA at the airport on checking in for the US-UK leg.

Hopefully someone else with direct experience of doing this themselves may read your post and suggest something.
