yes. She’ll have to book for some other people, at least occasionally, as there is a rule that you can’t exclusively book your own travel. Also, to get a better commission split you need to reach certain thresholds that will be hard to reach without clients other than yourself. You will also find that the commissionable rates are not always the cheapest rates, so in some cases the commission you earn is outweighed by the higher rate. But overall it’s likely worth it.
