How does JL's business class - hard and soft product + in-flight and on-ground services - compare against NH (789, mostly) and against UA Polaris?

I used to be a Delta flyer and with less options to Asia, I switched almost two years ago to Star Alliance. From SEA, my options for Asia would usually be NH with connections in HND, or UA via SFO. They have been okay, although I have to say the Polaris beddings are really great!

I feel NH is good but overrated. Service can be slow and robotic. Lounge is great if you compare it to the United Club, but nothing in comparison to the Polaris or Silver Kris lounges.

Looking at my travels for this year, cheapest business fares are on JL via NRT (787-9, SSIII? Apex?) with onward connections (transferring to 788 with apex/ shell flat neo). I have been looking at videos on YT recently and it seems JL's food (at least on those videos) looks better, and their lounge seems a far more premium experience than the NH lounge.
