Lost my replacement! (stolen?) - Can someone use it to steal my identity???

Two weeks ago...
I was told after updating my info as narrated above, that I would need to pay for a new card from my account online. I did promptly when I got home. It was mailed out to me and the envelope did appear scanned in my USPS informed delivery account. However, it did not physically appear in my mailbox!!! The other junk mail for the day however did make it through.

Mail gets lost all the time, so if it were one-off then perhaps it just got lost. Or the mail carrier was dyslexic. But what makes me paranoid was that a month earlier, my mailed in W2 also did not appear in my mailbox, but the junk mail did!

I called the Blaine office today and they helped me process a replacement. I know that online, when a card gets lost, they say you could just order another one. In the above case, and with all the scams happening out there, I wanted to 'register' that it was lost!
