Mixed bag to report on catering I'm afraid. As it was last month and menus have changed/been covered already, I won't go into full detail on LHR-LAX on 28/03 (BA269), but suffice to say, all the food was delicious and the beef was perfectly cooked. I was amazed, I didn't even have to ask. A tasty cut too. The carpaccio starter was also delicious.

Sadly on the return, SFO - LHR BA 286 on 11/04, all of the catering was not up to F standard. Horrendously overcooked lamb, duck and full breakfast in the morning. Very tough and dry. Reheated for way too long. The duck was also fatty in addition to being cremated. Nearly broke a tooth on a bit of gristle in the breakfast sausage. I did have both ice cream and cheese with no issue StuMcGrew

Menu:

Beef fillet - cold starter, it was just OK

Duck - dry, fatty, overcooked.

Lamb - even drier than the duck, overcooked.

Big contrast to the outbound leg.

Full breakfast - bacon and sausage both cremated. I like a crispy sausage but this was not good at all. 'Toast' could have done with the same blast of heat the bacon and sausage got.

Interesting service differences between the 'E' and 'F' side of the aisle too. Not issues as such, just not consistent in what we were given/asked if we wanted.
