It was my family (ex wife, 6 and 8 year old boys) 4th stay there but first time I joined them for an extended weekend.
Hotel is 40 min drive from Agadir airport so easy to reach from London and located with other hotels (Fairmont, Hilton and some local ones) on a very long and nice beach (with bikes, horses and camels available).
Staff was super friendly everywhere (maybe just because it’s Morocco, maybe because of the cute little boys, maybe because it’s their 4th stay in 2 years, maybe because I’m LTG, maybe because Gautier, current GM of Hotel du Louvre and GM here when the hotel opened let them know about my arrival or probably because a mix of all of that…).
I was upgraded one week before check in to a top floor Ocean View Suite (and family had been upgraded as well to a suite for the 10 nights of their stay for which I gave them 2 GoH).
Comfortable bed (and sofa bed for the children), nice view of the resort heated and non heated pools (there is an adult only one a bit further), beach and ocean.
Buffet breakfast was great (better than other HT I’ve been staying at with made to order eggs, super fresh and ripe fruits and salads). Snacks at the business lounge top quality as well (again better than HR Paris Étoilé or HR Düsseldorf) but food at the 3 restaurants (pool one, buffet one and a la carte one) more average.
5mins drive to Tagahzout golf course which is a bit tough (lot of slops and bushes) but well designed and maintained but with nice view of the ocean from every hole (and some very nice ones especially on the back 9 holes).
Will be more than happy to join again the family during their next stay in October.
