As mentioned in original post, i think to book QA flight with a stopover, but then do not choose any hotel package of QA.... rather , book hotels on Hyatt.com

Booking hotels separately may cost more (or less), but i want to book one night at a few different Hyatts
a. to experience some different properties in a particular city/country
b. stay at brand(s) haven't previously stayed at (ie, collect the Brand badges) and where the properties are within a few/5km of each other, can collect more badges without minimal transportation costs to do so
c. some brands have a very significant higher price in season and/or more popular city country eg. Andaz Vienna Euro 300+ and +15-16% taxes as compared to Middle East countries' Andaz properties . Have been/seen Vienna multiple times and do not need to pay Euro 350+ incl taxes ...would rather pay USD 160 in Qatar which the Qatar flight works for my destination, slightly higher price vs another route, but i get the stopover and can stay at a few Hyatts..... flights via Dubai are higher price, but then add in the very large taxes/service charges/etc for Dubai hotels and that's a no go
