I think I explained why the price is different, but the very short version is that the customer Noddy online tools work best of VIE-SEA-VIE for 1 person, and as soon as you move from that you best call Toyland and get an expert on the case. But yes, paying over the phone is wildly safer than paying over the internet and you have that critical 24 hour protection. For 80 of BA's 100 year history, it was pretty much the main way to book. As soon as the agent gives you a PNR, go to RAM or Finnair and print out the booking, check it carefully and come back here with anything you don't understand.
If you like the fare, there is a real risk of snooze / lose even if availability is currently good.
So what's the potential explanation for not finding the fare the agent gave me, on the almighty ITA matrix?
EDIT: So I think I'm uncovering part of the puzzle, but it is confusing, & contradicts what Confus just said above.
Depending on POS Expert Flyer shows the following for T class:
- UK: T3
- France: T1
- Austria: T9
- USA: T9
Changing the location on the BA website doesn't change the prices though, I wonder if a VPN would make a difference
