I have a question as to the best way to confirm whether or not a RUC was applied correctly. I had two separate trips where I wanted to use my RUCs. On the first trip, after speaking on the phone with an agent, I received a confirmation email that said: "we have received your request to use a Regional Upgrade Certificate."
The next night I called in to apply RUCs to another PNR. The agent said that the RUCs were applied, but after 24 hours I did not receive a similar confirmation email. I called again to confirm, and the agent said that the RUCs were applied and that they could send me a confirmation email. They did send me an email, but it was formatted differently and did not mention the certificate. It did list two almost identical flight summaries for each leg, with the difference being that the first summary listed the booking as "Delta Premium Select (G)" and the second summary listing it as "Delta Premium Select (0) Upgrade Requested".
Can I be confident that the RUCs were applied correctly for the second trip, even though I didn't receive an official-looking "upgrade certificate" email similar to the one I received for the first booking?
